FBR POS compliance · Pakistan
FBR POS integration for every counter and branch
We connect each of your POS counters to FBR so every sale is reported as it happens. Each receipt carries an FBR invoice number and a QR code that customers can check, and your cashiers keep working the way they do today.
- Every sale reported to FBR in real time
- FBR invoice number and QR code on each receipt
- Multiple branches and counters, managed centrally
- Sales keep running when the internet drops
Who it's for
Who needs FBR POS integration?
FBR requires retailers that fall within the Tier-1 definition to integrate their point-of-sale systems. This commonly includes:
- Retailers operating as part of a national or international chain
- Stores in air-conditioned shopping malls, plazas or centres
- Retailers whose premises or electricity usage exceed the limits set by FBR
- Wholesalers-cum-retailers selling directly to consumers
- Any retailer that has received a notice from FBR to integrate
The risks of not integrating
Running a Tier-1 store without a working FBR POS connection can be costly:
Penalties
FBR can impose penalties on Tier-1 retailers that fail to integrate or that issue receipts outside the system. [VERIFY CURRENT PENALTY AMOUNTS]
Sealing of premises
Repeated non-compliance can lead to enforcement action, including sealing of the business premises.
Higher tax treatment
Retailers that are not integrated may lose access to the tax treatment available to integrated retailers. [VERIFY CURRENT RATES]
Customer trust
Customers increasingly scan receipts to check them. A receipt that cannot be verified reflects poorly on your brand.
How it works
How our integration works
Your cashier rings up the sale as usual. Our integration layer reports it to FBR and returns the details for the receipt in seconds.
Your POS counter
A sale is completed at the till.
Our integration layer
The sale is checked and sent in FBR's format.
FBR
FBR records the sale and issues an invoice number.
Invoice number + QR
The receipt prints with FBR's number and QR code.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from FBR Digital Invoicing?
FBR POS integration covers retail sales made at the counter to consumers. Digital Invoicing covers sales tax invoices issued from an ERP or accounting system, mostly between businesses. Some businesses need both, and we can handle both.
Can we keep our current POS software?
In most cases, yes. We connect your existing POS to FBR. If your software cannot be integrated, our own POS comes with FBR integration ready to use.
What does the customer see on the receipt?
Each receipt shows the FBR invoice number and a QR code. Customers can scan it with FBR's verification app to confirm the sale was reported.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Sales continue. Receipts are queued on the counter and sent to FBR automatically once the connection returns, and you are alerted if anything stays pending.
Do you support many branches and counters?
Yes. Each branch and counter is set up with its own POS ID, and you can see submission status for all of them in one place.
Are returns and exchanges handled?
Yes. Returns and exchanges are reported to FBR in line with its requirements, so your records stay consistent.
How long does it take?
A single store can usually go live within two to three weeks. Larger chains are rolled out branch by branch.
